(LESSON 56):-- Five Signs of a Solid Relationship
Having studied the five stages of relationships in which solid relationships are the most sorts-for by every individual. Now, taking that solid relationship down a little bit will help us know the five signs which guarantee a solid relationship.
And, we have to know that relationships at the secure level validate us and help us to become more comfortable with the person we are relating to and equally who we are, which eventually helps us to discover our career and or talent in life.
In solid relationship, friends tend to tell us the truth in a supportive way if we start to get off course, they keep us grounded and help position us on track. If a talented person ends up somewhere in life, bear in mind that a few solid relationships can make all the difference in this case.
So, as we engage in relationships, it is paramount that we try to find people with whom we can build solid relationships that can be mutually beneficial. Below are signs that a relationship is heading toward solid relationships that will be mutually beneficial:
1. Mutual Enjoyment:=>
There is the need for people to spend time together just for the enjoyment of being together. Even though what they do may not be of significance.
For example, running an errand together with your wife, boss or business associates is a good sign of solid relationship. So, time with people you loved should mean more to you. Try not to let the stresses of life make you lose track of that.
What becomes fundamental to solid relationship is when you value someone on the front end of a relationship which will eventually help you earn respect on the back end.
3. Shared Experience:=>
To create a mutual bond, there is need for someone to go through a significant experience with another person. So, families should come together to enjoy reminiscing about vacations they took years before.
That is why soldiers talk about the bond that occurs as they train together. We all need others to lean on and to celebrate with. Shared experiences are the one that gives us those kinds of opportunities.
I still remember vividly my experience with my father as a kid then, after all the evening activities at home I would meet my father in his sitting room where we interact and he share many old stories with me and I ask questions where necessary. In fact, it was an experience I will never forget in my life until the day of my death.
The glory of friendship is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him. Because, trust is the joy of relationshipsso, if you do not have trust, know that you do not have much of a relationship.
We should understand relationships experience ebbs and flow, which means, sometimes, one person is the primary giver, sometimes the other person is. So, when this continues to happen it means, the relationship is out of balance, and will become unstable and often unhealthy.
Definitely, if you want the relationship to continue, you will need to make changes. Look at how it works:
--- When you alone are getting the better of the relationship, changes must be made.
--- When the other person is getting the better part, changes must be made.
--- When both of you are getting an equally good deal, continue as before.
To be honest with you, I see friendship as bank accounts. You cannot continue to draw on them without making deposits. If either of you are overdrawn or it happens to stay that way, then do not expect the relationship to last.
So, solid relationships must be beneficial to both parties. Each person should try to put the other first, and both have to benefit.
To become a person whose relationships influence in a positive direction --- here is what I suggest you do:
(i) Identify the most important people in your life.
(ii) Assess whether they are influencing you in the right direction.
(iii) If your friends are not friends, then make new friends.
No doubt, with these ideas, you should be well engaged to make change in your life and stick to healthier habitual and moral lifestyle for the long term.
And my final two points should be:
1. Knowledge without action is entirely useless. You are now well equipped with tools to use and change your life, now it is time to do it. I know you have a lot of goals that are important to you, then, use these ideas to make it a reality.
2. Doing my best for our community is my priority so; we are here to support you. I write two articles for a small community each week, Monday and Thursday, and these small communities are people who are to getting better, living healthier, and making the world a better place.
I do my best to help them achieve their goals, and this is my part to play, and I will always like to do the same for you.
